MONROE — The Green County YMCA Mat Rats held their annual youth wrestling tournament at the Monroe High School Jan. 20. There were 396 wrestlers from 41 teams throughout Wisconsin, northern Illinois and Iowa, with 43 Mat Rats competing.
The Western Dubuque Little Bobcats took home the first-place belt with team trophies going to second place DAWC; third place Stockton Renegades; and fourth place LAW.

In their respective grade level and weight brackets, placing first: Colton Ladwig, Kaydon Proctor, Gage Ostby, Blaine Fletcher, Evelyn Eckdhal, Carson Menehan, Anthony Wels, and Chelsey Gilbert.
Placing second: Ryland Martinez, Briggs Hoesly, Brody Eberle, Gage Jelle, Joah Wellman, Connor Swindle, Carson Austin, Garrett Minder, Payton Weckerly, Jack Dubach, and Alex Hernandez.
Placing third: Gabrielle Harms, Maverick Meighan, Karl Nolen, Noah Schuh, Eli Salzwedel, Tristen Laws, Grant Ula, Tyler Briggs, Cole Meighan, Coldan Altmann, and Connor Eckdhal.
Placing fourth: Bryant McDonald, Easton Nyman, Ashton Laws, Abram Homb, Landon Quinn, Beau Hoesly, Oliver Helland, Patrick Harms, Althea Eckdhal, Wyatt Weckerly, Aydan Leopold, and Carsen Bartholf.
