BARABOO — Sugar River lost a nonconference game at Baraboo 3-2 on Thursday night, Sept. 17.

Kaleb Weber put the Raiders up early with a goal at 19:04 off an assist from Owen Griffin, but an own goal by the Raiders defense allowed Baraboo to tie the score. In the second half, the Thunderbirds took a 2-1 lead on a corner kick at 43:41, and made it 3-1 with less than 15 minutes to play. Wyatt Coon scored on a penalty kick in the 69th minute to bring the Raiders back to within a score, but the Thunderbirds defense withstood the rally.

Taydon DeRouin had nine saves, as Baraboo out-shot Sugar River 14-12 overall.

In other area action, Monroe lost to top-ranked Edgerton 8-1 on Sept. 17.
