NEW GLARUS — Sugar River picked up a Capitol Conference win at Waupun on Sept. 15, 6-0.

Drew Brueggemann had two goals and an assist for the Raiders. Arlo Belknap had a goal and an assist, as did Liam Crawford. Wyatt Coon and Andrew Aasve also scored for Sugar River. Kaleb Webber had two assists.

Brueggemann gave Sugar River a 1-0 lead at the 8:41 mark in the first half, and Coon scored less than a minute later. By halftime, the Raiders had a third goal in, this time from Belknap.

The Raiders out-shot Waupun 22-7, with Raiders keeper Taydon DeRouin saving all three shots that came to him.

Sugar River (4-3-1, 2-0 Capitol) had a home nonconference game against Baraboo (3-4) scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 17.
