Wisconsin’s fall partisan primary was held on Tuesday, Aug. 11. In major contests, Democrat David Crowley advances to the November general to face Republican Tom Tiffany for governor. Jenna Jacobson (D) will face incumbent Howard Marklein (R) for Senate District 17, and Bill Oemichen (D) will face off against Jon Aleckson (R) for Assembly District 50.

In contested races, Green County (unofficially) favored:

● Republican Governor: Tom Tiffany over Andy Manske (2,547-112)

● Republican Lieutenant Governor: David Varnam over Will Martin (1,462-873)

● Republican Secretary of State: Jay Schroeder (1,055) over Brayden Myer (339), Nate Pollnow (617) and Windy Werner (295)

● Democratic Governor: David Crowley (2,567) over Sara Rodriguez (247), Joel Brennan (188), Francesca Hong (1,825), Kelda Roys (513), Missy Hughes (16) and Mandela Barnes (226)

● Democratic State Treasurer: Dylan Ray Helmenstine over Yee Leng Xiong (2,452-2,130)

● Democratic Rep in Congress: Mark Pocan over Douglas Alexander (4,615-740)

● Democratic State Senate District 17: Jenna Jacobson (2,827) over Corrine Hendrickson (2,163) and Lisa White (365)

● Democratic Assembly District 50: Bill Oemichen (2,640) over Josh Mittness (1,563) and Bryna Caves (899)
