MONROE — On Saturday, October 10, the EIE Foundation hosted a pickleball tournament at Northeast Park on the Colony Brands Foundation Pickleball Courts. This is the second year EIE has hosted a pickleball tournament. This year there were 15 teams playing the co-ed tournament and six teams participating in the family tournament.

Winners of the co-ed tournament were a brother and sister team, Zane and Elianna Seffrood. The winners of the family tournament were Mike Deininger and his granddaughter, Iva Seffrood, the second year for the pair. First-place winners received $50 in Monroe Money, second-place winners received $30, and third-place winners received $20. EIE also held a successful basket raffle featuring pickleball bags, water bottles, cooling towels, sports towels, and more.

EIE thanked all of the EIE Foundation members who came out and helped at the tournament, everyone who participated, and Lanz-McArdle Insurance for sponsoring the tournament.
