Bonnie Louise Gedmin, age 82, of Monroe, died on Monday, September 14, 2026 at St. Mary’s Hospital, Madison, following a short illness. Bonnie was born on September 16, 1943, the daughter of Raymond and Marie (Armstrong) Arnsmeier. She was a graduate of Juda High School and was employed at St. Clare Hospital, Stoughton Hospital, and Catholic Knights Insurance in Dubuque, Iowa. She was united in marriage to Michael Gedmin on August 14, 1993.

Bonnie enjoyed golfing, bowling, playing cards with friends, and watching the Packers, Brewers, and Badgers. She loved attending the Kentucky Derby and had many fond memories of traveling to Arizona to visit her brother, Karl, sister-in-law, Barbara, and many friends.

Bonnie is survived by a son, Curt (Gayle) Sharkey of Cottage Grove; daughters, Deanna (Tod) Santiago of Oshkosh and Nancy (Chris) Riem of Dakota, IL; 11 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren of whom she was so very proud of. She is further survived by a brother, Karl (Barbara) Arnsmeier of Keizer, Oregon; sister, Lois Beld of Monona; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Mike; and two sisters, Arlene in infancy, and Mary (Bob) Stauffacher.

A memorial celebration will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at the Monroe Moose Lodge. Private burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Monroe. The Newcomer Funeral Home, Monroe, is assisting the family. Condolences may be shared at www.newcomerfuneralhome.net
