Cards sweep Blue Devils; NG routs Heights

EVANSVILLE — Brodhead swept the Blue Devils on Sept. 15, 26-24, 25-8, 25-18.

Chesney Walker had 11 kills to lead the offensive attack for Brodhead. Teammate Ella Olson finished with nine kills. Paige Bauman finished with 18 assists and seven services aces. Sadie Woelky had nine assists and three aces. Leah Rear led the Cardinals with 15 digs while teammate Kennedy Zimmerman tallied 12 digs. The Cardinals had a 94.5% success serve rate.

MONROE — The RVC-leading Eagles swept the Cheesemakers on Sept. 15, 25-18, 25-11, 25-18.

For Monroe, Fiona Junk had 13 assists and a kill. Leighton Kaiser and Holly Carpenter had two blocks each. Mackenzie Anglin finished with five kills and seven digs, while Lexi Larson had right digs and Maya Eddy four kills and a block.

NEW GLARUS — The Glarner Knights swept the Vanguards on Sept. 15, 25-22, 25-21, 25-9.

Ellie Brenkman, a middle blocker, reached the 500 dig milestone, finishing the match with five kills and five solo blocks. Kalia Malaise had six kills, as did Reese Montgomery. Brynlee Schofield had seven kills, two blocks and four aces. Kate Parman had seven kills and two blocks. Nicole Burton tallied four aces.

BELLEVILLE — The Pirates swept the host Wildcats on Sept. 15, 25-17, 25-15, 25-15.

Hayden Caskey led Belleville with nine assists with teammate Jocelyn Raven dishing out eight more assists. Alise Alexander finished with seven kills. Carolyn Schoenike added three blocks, and Korynn Potter tallied 12 digs and two aces.

SOUTH WAYNE — The Comets defeated the Warriors on Sept. 15 in straight sets, 25-13, 25-12, 25-13.

Senior Jaci Kammes had eight assists and an ace for Black Hawk, while sophomore teammate Dani Martin finished with four kills.

ARGYLE — The Orioles defeated Pecatonica straight sets on Sept. 10, 26-24, 25-9, 25-17.

For Argyle, Brooke Wellnitz had 20 kills, 22 digs, two blocks and two aces. Avari Steiner collected 33 assists, nine digs, three kills and an ace. Elise Kuebli had nine kills and 11 digs. Haleigh Fish tallied nine kills, 10 digs and a block. Brynn Harris finished the night with 18 digs and an ace, and Claire Holmes added nine digs and three kills.
