On August 26:
● At 11:28 a.m., officers responded to the 700 block of 8th Street for a report of a theft. Investigation resulted in Michael C. Hille, 61, of Freeport, IL, being placed under arrest for Retail Theft w/ Repeater Enhancer (Felony). Hille was confined in the Green County Jail, pending a mandatory court appearance
On September 1:
● At 2:37 p.m., officers arrested Aron A. Hogan, 46, of Monroe, WI, at a residence in the 1300 block of 17th Avenue, on a warrant issued by the Wisconsin Department of Corrections - Probation and Parole. Hogan was confined at the Green County Jail pending further proceedings.
On September 3:
● At 4:36 p.m., officers were called to a two-vehicle accident with no reported injuries at the intersection of State Highway 69 and 11th Street. The investigation indicated that a vehicle operated by Amy M. Lee, 37, of Monroe, WI, was traveling east on 11th Street, stopped at the stop sign for State Highway 69, proceeded into the intersection and collided with a southbound vehicle operated by a Lena, IL man. Both vehicles sustained disabling damage and were towed. Lee was cited for failure to yield the right of way from a stop sign and released pending a court appearance.
On September 9:
● At 8:51 p.m., officers were called to a report of child abuse which occurred int he 500 block of West 21st Street. The investigation led to the arrest of Lisa M. Hartman, 42, of Monroe, on a charge of Physical Abuse of a Child. Hartman was confined at the Green County Jail pending a court appearance.
On September 11:
● At approximately 7:16 a.m., Monroe Police Officers were called to a report of a motor vehicle that was stolen from the 100 block of 10 ½ Street. Preliminary investigation revealed the vehicle was taken during the overnight/early morning hours of September 11, 2026. At approximately 9:27 a.m., Monroe Police Officers located the stolen motor vehicle occupied and driving on the roadway near the intersection of 3rd Avenue and 8th Street. A traffic stop was conducted and the sole occupant, Domenic J. Power, 23, of Monroe, was arrested. Domenic was confined at the Green County Jail on charges of Operating a Motor Vehicle Without Owner’s Consent, (2nd Offense), Bail Jumping, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of Marijuana, and a Probation and Parole Violation.
● At 11:59 a.m., officers were called to a two-vehicle accident with reported injuries at the intersection of 6th Street and 8th Avenue. The investigation indicated that a vehicle operated by Joseph D. Becker, 75, of Boscobel, was traveling north on 8th Avenue, stopped at the stop sign for 6th Street, proceeded into the intersection and collided with an eastbound vehicle operated by a Monroe woman. The Monroe woman reported non-life threatening injuries and was transported by Green County EMS to the SSM Monroe Hospital. Becker’s vehicle sustained disabling damage and was towed. Becker was cited for failure to yield the right of way from a stop sign and released pending a court appearance.
