Swim meet held at Monroe on July 11

The 70th annual Dr. Stiles Invitational Swim Meet took place at Recreation Park pool in Monroe on Saturday July 11. A total of 71 individual events in boys and girls competitive swimming were completed. The meet is held in July every year and honors Dr. Frank Stiles, a pediatrician who founded the youth swim program at Monroe.

In combined results, the Evansville Blue Sharks won the meet with 1,684 points. The Green County YMCA finished second with 1,181. The Monroe Area Swim Team (MAST) was seventh with 126 points.

In the boy’s competition, the Green County YMCA was first with 451 points. The Monroe Area Swim Team was seventh with 31 points.

The girl’s competition saw the Evansville Blue Sharks take first place with 881 points. The Monroe Area Swim Team was sixth with 95 points.
