BOSCOBEL — The Monroe boys won the annual Greg Bell Memorial Night Meet at Kronshage Park in Boscobel on Sept. 17, while the girls team finished in second place.

Kamrin Gerber-Reamer paced Monroe with a second-overall finish at 16 minutes, 14.6 seconds. Teammate Ace Rossing (16:39.5) was right behind him, taking fourth overall. Weston Huntsman (11th, 17:20.7), Eli Phillips (12th, 17:23.7) and Landon Smith (13th, 17:26.3) all scored for Monroe, while Isaiah Ritschard (17:45.4) and Lucas Veeder (27th, 18:12.5) also ran strong races for the Cheesemakers.

Richland Center/Ithaca’s Owen Drier won the race at 16:11.2.

Argyle/Pecatonica was 14th as a team in the boys varsity race, with Darlington 15th. Marcus Kendall led Darlington with a 23rd place finish (17:59.7), followed by Phoenix Johnson (39th, 18:41.3). Mitchell Johnsen (45th, 18:49.3) and Ayden Slater (49th, 18:56.7) paced Argyle/Pec.

On the girls side, Aquinas (98) won the team title, just ahead of the Cheesemakers (105). Darlington (135) was fourth, and Argyle/Pec (535) was 19th in the field of 23 teams.

Braylin Cleary (19:47.6) paced Monroe, finishing seventh overall. Alivia Mosher (17th, 20:43.6), Elizabeth Veeder (20th, 20:56.2), Lyla Ritschard (29th, 21:22.4) and Kaylen Cassidy (32nd, 21:24.9) all scored for Monroe.

Darlington’s Alaina McGowan (19:03.9) was second overall, finishing behind race champion Mackenzie Knuckey (18:54.5) by less than 11 seconds. Brianna Vazquez (11th, 20:10.1), Madison Welacha (33rd, 21:28.8), Hadley Smith (37th, 21:33.9) and Austia Stauffacher (52nd, 22:23.3) all scored for the Redbirds.

Emma Johnsen (54th, 22:34.8) was the top-finishing runner from Argyle/Pec.
