To the Editor:
This compares the first 20 months of Biden’s administration vs. first 20 months of the current administration: inflation rose 12.3% under Biden versus 4.3% under Trump; groceries rose 15.8% versus 3.3%; gasoline rose 69% versus 12%; rent rose 7.7% versus 4.5%; and electricity rose 19.1% versus 8.4%.
WHY WOULD YOU WANT TO GO BACK to how it was in the last administration or forward to this:
The Democratic Socialists of America drafted a document this summer titled “Workers Deserve More” — and it calls explicitly for scrapping the U.S. Senate, replacing the president with a figure subordinate to Congress, and gutting the Supreme Court.
Which programs do you think should be reversed — tax decreases, removal of nuclear danger, a closed border, deportation of criminal migrants, girls’ protection in sports/locker rooms, citizen-only voting integrity, lower prescription costs? This is a partial list of what has been worked on in the last 2 years.
If democrats take control of the legislature, all the above will be canceled because they are against those common-sense programs. If you DON’T vote but want these programs, be prepared to see them gone, and the DSA agenda will also be very possible. If that happens, YOU will have been responsible. This is a very important election on Nov. 3rd.
