Drew Schliem’s three-run double in the first inning and Tyler Kleppe’s home run in the fifth inning sent the Blanchardville Bullets past the Dodgeville Knights 16-4 in Home Talent League baseball in Western Section Sunday League action on Friday, July 10.

The Bullets scored five runs in the fourth and four runs in the fifth to put the Bullets in control.

Kleppe and Schliem each drove in three runs for Blanchardville.

With the win, Blanchardville improved to 10-5 in Sunday League action.

Arena 13, Wiota 3

ARENA — Nate Jennings pitched six innings and drove in five runs to lead the Arena Aces to a 13-3 win over the Wiota Indians in seven innings in Home Talent League Baseball on Sunday, July 12.

Jennings hit two doubles and a sacrifice fly and scored a run as Arena scored eight runs over the first three innings and had 12 hits in the game.

Beau Podnar got two hits and scored two runs to lead Wiota.

With the loss, Wiota dropped to 5-6 in the Western Section in Sunday League action.

Verona 14,

Argyle 1

ARGYLE — The Argyle Beavers were held to just one run on two hits by the Verona Cavaliers in Home Talent League Baseball on Sunday, July 12.

Verona took a 7-0 lead going into the sixth inning and blew the game open with a six-run sixth inning.

Gavin Johnson and Max Godfrey got the only hits in the game for the Beavers.

Argyle fell to 4-7 in the Western Section with the loss.
