Darlington alum Alex Erickson was the honorary team captain for the Wisconsin Badgers home opener against Western Illinois on Saturday, Sept. 12. Erickson walked onto the Badgers as a receiver more than a decade ago, and was the team’s top offensive passing target by the end of his tenure. He later went on to play nine seasons in the NFL with the Cincinnati Bengals, Carolina Panthers, Washington Commanders, San Diego Chargers and New England Patriots.
