MONROE — The Green County Genealogical Society will present The “History of the DAR” by Kathy Comeau at 10 a.m. on Oct. 3 in the Monroe Public Library community room on the second floor. The program is open to the public.

The presentation is on the history of the Daughters of the American Revolution, including the history of our local Colonel Benjamin Harrison Chapter.

Comeau has been a member of DAR for three years, and the Chapter Regent for one year of a three-year term.

She has lived in the Monroe area since 2007 with her husband. They lived in the UK prior to that.

Comeau has her MA Ed in Educational Management and Leadership. She has worked as a program director for a local non-profit for 14 years before retiring this year.
