ODESSA, Texas — Monroe alum JT Seagreaves had his best collegiate game in Week 2, scoring twice for the University of Texas-Permian Basin Falcons in a 69-14 win over Western New Mexico University on Saturday, Sept. 12.
Seagreaves, a 2022 Monroe graduate, played for the Wisconsin Badgers his first four years of college. After graduating this past spring with a degree in Industrial Engineering, he hit the transfer portal and joined the UTPB Falcons as a graduate student. The 6-5, 240-pound Seagreaves caught TD passes of five and 67 yards in the first quarter and finished with three catches for 72 total yards.
UTPB had 554 yards of offense.
UTPB is a member of the NCAA’s Division II football level and plays in the Lone Star Conference.
In Week 3, UTPB (1-1, 1-0) will play Sul Ross State (1-1) at 7 p.m. on Sept. 19.
