JEFFERSON — Monroe defeated Jefferson 6-1 in a Rock Valley Conference match Sept. 22. The Cheesemakers swept the singles flights and won two of three doubles matches.
“These were important matches tonight, and our girls really brought it,” said coach Matt Bordner. “At one point, all of the varsity matches except for Ryann Dahlman saw us down in the second set, but our girls did a great job of sticking with it and getting the job done. We broke our tiebreaker losing streak and picked up all three tiebreakers today which was fantastic.”
Monroe (14-2, 4-1 RVC) was slated to host Edgerton on Sept. 24 for Senior Night and the last conference dual of the season.
