To the Editor:

Donald Trump’s proposal to deport 11 million people would be a disaster for Wisconsin’s economy and the dairy industry in particular.  Our farms depend on hard-working immigrants who do the jobs Americans don’t want to do.

Immigrants add $7 trillion to GDP every year and pay almost $1 trillion in taxes.  Instead of taking actions that will disrupt our economy, let’s give the border patrol the manpower and resources they need to let the good immigrants in and keep the bad actors out.  There was a bipartisan proposal in Congress to do that, but Trump had his people kill it!  It’s time for positive change.

Vote for Kamala Harris and the other Democrats on your ballot for economic prosperity and to preserve our Democracy!
