As a former president of the State Bar of Wisconsin, I am writing to urge your readers to re-elect Chief Justice Shirley Abrahamson to the Wisconsin Supreme Court.I first worked with Chief Justice Abrahamson during the 1970s when she was a lawyer in private practice. We represented clients in several complex matters, and our close and lengthy association provided me with an excellent opportunity to observe and evaluate her legal skills, which I consider to be outstanding.Chief Justice Abrahamson is not only a splendid legal scholar with an excellent academic background, but also has excellent judgment, a keen sense of justice, great integrity and common sense. Her subsequent career as a justice and later chief justice of the Wisconsin Supreme Court has confirmed my evaluation and judgment.
