OREGON — Patrick Alt and Brady Spotts recorded four points each in Monroe’s Badger Conference contest against Oregon Dec. 20, but it was Preston Kromm’s overtime goal that pushed the Panthers over the Cheesemakers 5-4.
Monroe took a two-goal lead in the first period with scores from Gibson Daly and Alt. Oregon then scored four straight goals, requiring a response. Spotts scored on the power play, and Alt tied it up at 4-4 with just seconds left on the clock. But Kromm put the game away nearly four minutes into extra time with a goal, assisted by James Sherven.
Alt (2G, 2A) and Spotts (1G, 3A) led the team with four points each. Brody Goode and Daly had one point each. Brock Brandli recorded 39 saves on 44 shots for an .886 save percentage.
