Ronald H. Simas, age 78, of Monticello, passed away on Friday, November 29, 2024 at his home.  He was born on October 18, 1946 the son of Henry and Marjorie (Krawczykowski) Simas.  Ron proudly served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War.  He was united in marriage to Pamela Zentner in Reno, NV. 

Ron worked in the maintenance department for both Rayovac and New Glarus Foods.  He also repaired bicycles on the side.  He was a volunteer for the Monticello Fire Department.  Ron was always up for an adventure whether it be motorcycle riding, driving racecars, skydiving, scuba diving, swimming, or driving go-carts.  He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and having a party with friends and family. 

Ron is survived by his wife, Pamela; children, Kimberly (Glenn) Pacheco, Jason (Mary) Gilmore, Shawn (Asia) Simas, Dennis (Sarah) Komar, Jim Sorenson, Jon (Jackie) Sorenson, and Angie Escobedo; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; siblings, Rick Simas and Debbie Franz; and several nieces and nephews.
