Robert “Bob” Luedy, age 84 of Monroe passed away on Tuesday, April 14, 2026 at SSM Health Monroe Hospital. He was born on June 2, 1941 the son of Lillian Luedy. He attended Albany High School before entering the United States Army. During his time in the Army he proudly served on the Honor Guard for President John F. Kennedy’s funeral. On October 23, 1964 Bob was united in marriage to Kathleen “Kathy” Siegenthaler.

Bob worked in construction his entire life, including at Redi-Mix, Area Concrete, and E & N Hughes. Even after his retirement, he remained a constant fixture at E & N Hughes. Bob was a member of the Monroe American Legion. He enjoyed playing cards, was an avid Chicago Bears fan, and loved his cat, Puff-Boy. He also enjoyed watching NASCAR and car racing, especially Dick Trickle. Bob was not a man who could sit still and was often found tinkering with various projects. Above all, Bob cherished the life he built with Kathy and loved the time spent with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Bob is survived by his wife, Kathy of Monroe; children, Jeff (Dawn) Luedy of Georgia, Lori Springer of Texas, and Bobbi Jo (Wes) Robertson of Monroe; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; great-aunt, Maggie Parmer. He is further survived by siblings, extended relatives; and many dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother; son-in-law, Randall Springer; and brother-in-law, Fritz Siegenthaler.

A Celebration of Bob’s Life will be held on Friday, April 17, 2026 from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Shriner Hager Gohlke Funeral Home. Condolence may be sent to the family at: shgfuneralhome.net.
