Corrine M. Jacobson, age 92 of Monroe passed away on Monday, May 4, 2026 at Dimensions Living. She was born the daughter of Fred and Bertha (Bandi) Zentner on August 27, 1933. Corrine graduated from Monroe High School as well as Green County Normal with a teaching degree. In 1952 Corrine was united in marriage to Donald Jacobson in Dubuque, IA.
Corrine taught school for three years, then started doing daycare for the teachers’ children. Later beginning a career at IGA, where she first worked as a clerk and later became a manager. She retired in 1995. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Monroe. Corrine found joy in canning and gardening.
Corrine is survived by her husband Donald of Monroe; daughter, Becky (Craig) Kamholz of Juda; daughter-in-law, Sue Jacobson of Onalaska; grandchildren, Cory (Miranda Wyss) Jacobson, Jordan (Justin Wiemer) Kamholz, Morgan Kamholz, and Brooke Kamholz; and two great-grandchildren, Brooks and Benni.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Mark; brothers, Cecil, Roy, Melvin, Gilbert; sisters, Florence Bahn and Evelyn in infancy.
Memorial Services will be held on Monday, May 11, 2026 at 11:00 AM at Grace Lutheran Church with Pastor John Tabaka officiating. A luncheon and Celebration of Corrine’s Life will follow the service at the church.
Visitation will be held on Monday from 10:00 AM until the time of service at the church.
