On May 17:

● 7:17 p.m. Kaitlyn M. Kendall, 30, Monroe was arrested for Felony Bail Jumping, Possession of THC, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia on STH 11, Wayne Township, as a result of a traffic stop. Kendall was transported to Lafayette County Jail where she was booked and remains. Kendall was also cited for Operating After Suspension. Darlington Police assisted.

● 8:57 p.m. Layton R. Cooper, 22, Warsaw IN reported striking a deer on Tish RD, Wiota Township. Cooper reported no injuries. Cooper’s 2022 Ford received functional damage and was driven from the scene.

On May 18:

● 5:17 p.m. Leonela Palma-Diaz,19, Darlington, was traveling southbound on STH 23, Willow Springs Township, when she failed to slow down for a turning vehicle. Leonela rear-ended Deron W. Austin,60, Mineral Point Subaru Outback. Leonela’s 2015 Hyundai received disabling damage and was towed from the scene. Deron’s vehicle received moderate damage but was driven from the scene. Leonela was cited for OWL 1st (Operating without a license), No proof of insurance and Inattentive driving. No injuries were reported.

On May 23:

● 2:16 a.m. Deputies responded to W Wood St, City of Shullsburg for a domestic dispute. As a result, Sharon A. Bennett,60, Shullsburg was arrested for Disorderly Conduct and Battery. She was brought to Lafayette County jail where she was booked and later released on bond.

● 8:49 a.m. Jadin L. Ruf,46, Darlington reported striking a deer while traveling on CTH F, Willow Springs Township. No injuries were reported and their 2018 Ford received minor damage and was driven from the scene.

● 8:53 p.m. Deputies responded to S Galena ST, Village of South Wayne for a report of Domestic Dispute. As a result, Jason K. Coy,38, Warren was arrested for Domestic Disorderly Conduct, Misdemeanor Bail jumping, two counts Felony bail jumping and Criminal damage to property. He was brought to the Lafayette County Jail where he was booked and remains.

● 9:15 p.m. Alisyn F. Kaderly, 23, Shullsburg reported striking a deer while on STH 11, Gratiot Township. Minor injuries were reported and she was taken to the hospital by relatives. Her 2016 Volkswagen received disabling damage and was towed from the scene.

On May 24:

● 9:22 p.m. Sara H. Law,45, Webster City, IA and Andrew W. Jones,47, Webster City, IA were both Cited for Operating a UTV while Intoxicated 1st Offense. Both Parties were given a ride to a local hotel for the night.

On May 25:

● 2:27 p.m. Deputies, Argyle Fire, and Argyle EMS responded to STH 78, Argyle Township to a one vehicle accident. Travis E. Koplin, 35, Gratiot was traveling on STH 78 when he lost control of his vehicle, entered the ditch causing his vehicle to rollover, where it then came to a rest. Koplin was transported to the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries sustained in the crash. Koplin’s 2009 Chevrolet received disabling damage and was towed from scene. Koplin was cited for Failure to Maintain Control, Operating Without a License (OWL – 1st Offense), and Operating Without Insurance. Argyle Police and Wisconsin DNR assisted.

On May 28:

● 7:09 p.m. A Deputy, Shullsburg Fire and Shullsburg EMS responded to E Friendship ST, City of Shullsburg for a car vs bridge accident. The driver Brooke P. Nolte, 38, Shullsburg, reported no injuries and his 2013 Dodge received disabling damage and was towed from the scene. Nolte was cited for Inattentive Driving and No Insurance.

On May 30:

● 3:04 p.m. A deputy responded to USH 151, Belmont Township for a one vehicle accident. Eric R. Martens, 58, Wyoming, IA was traveling on USH 151 in his 2018 Toyota pulling his 2014 Shore Lander boat trailer when a seat dislodged and struck a vehicle behind him. No injuries were reported. All vehicles received functional damage and were driven from the scene.

● 3:35 p.m. Deputies, Shullsburg Fire, Shullsburg EMS, and Hazel Green EMS responded to the intersection of CTH W and CTH O, White Oak Springs for a three vehicle accident. Quianna J. Colbert, 46, Chicago, IL was travelling westbound in a 2025 Chrysler on CTH W when she failed to stop for the stop sign. Colbert proceeded into the intersection striking a 2018 Ford operated by Douglas J. Winter, 58, Apple River, IL. Colbert then proceeded to strike a 2024 Buick that was sitting stationary at the eastbound stop sign that was operated by Janice M. Cammack, 75, Apple River, IL. Colbert and her two juvenile female passengers were transported to the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries sustained in the crash. Winter was transported to the hospital with minor injuries. Cammack reported no injuries. All three vehicles sustained disabling damage and were towed from the scene.

On May 31:

● 1:13 a.m. Steven F. Woodworth, 69, Avondale, AZ reported striking a deer on CTH I, New Diggings Township. Woodworth reported no injuries. Woodworth’s 2018 Chrysler received functional damage and was driven from the scene.

● 12:19 p.m. Deputies, Shullsburg Fire, and Shullsburg EMS responded to STH 11, Shullsburg Township for a two vehicle accident. Linda L. Leitzinger, 85, Shullsburg was traveling westbound on STH 11 when she made an improper U-turn. Jeffery S.J. Bennett, 43, Darlington was traveling westbound on STH 11 when he struck Leitzinger’s 2021 Jeep head-on. Leitzinger, Bennett, and Bennett’s passenger, Anna M. Smith, 58, Shullsburg were transported to the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries sustained in the crash. Both Leitzinger’s 2021 Jeep and Bennett’s 2015 Subaru received disabling damage and were towed from the scene. Hazel Green EMS, Lafayette County EMS, and Benton Police assisted on scene. Leitzinger was cited for Improper Left Turn.

On June 2:

● 5:54 a.m. Steven J. Zeimet, 50, Potosi reported striking a deer while traveling on USH 151, Belmont Township. Zeimet reported no injuries and his 2019 Volkswagen received disabling damage and was towed from the scene.

● 7:28 a.m. Hans W. Lehner, 37, Browntown reported striking a deer while traveling on STH 11, Wayne Township. Lehner reported no injuries and his 2024 Ford received minor damage and was driven from the scene.
