On Saturday, June 13, the Green County Fairgrounds was filled with all breeds of dairy heifers for the 2026 Green County Dairy Days Cattle Show. The 55 participants came from all over southern Wisconsin and northern Illinois to show off their 113 dairy heifers in 28 heifer classes.
Dairy Days is an annual Green County event hosted by the Green County Ag Chest, with support from many generous sponsors. Dairy Days is held during June Dairy Month and includes a banquet for the crowning of the new Green County Dairy Queen and Green County Dairy Princess in the hosting community, which is Albany for 2026, as well as a cattle show at the Green County Fairgrounds in Monroe, Wisconsin. At the cattle show youth from all over southern Wisconsin and northern Illinois proudly showed off their hard work as they led their dairy heifers around the ring, displaying their passion for their heifers and the dairy industry.
The Green County Ag Chest was developed in 1958 when the Green County Dairy Promotion Committee and the Green County Agricultural Foundation merged. Since its inception, the Green County Ag Chest has been committed to developing new and unique ways to promote the hardworking people of Green County and their products.
The Green County Ag Chest is dedicated to enriching the lives of young people through activities which support education, personal growth, and community involvement. Each year, the Green County Ag Chest participates in, sponsors, or organizes many community-wide events and programs. Some of those include the following:
Ø Dairy Queen Program
Ø Green County Breakfast on the Farm
Ø Green County Dairy Days
Ø Green County Fair
Ø Wisconsin State Fair
Ø Food for America
Ø 4-H
Ø FFA
The Green County Ag Chest is proud to partner with Dairy Farmers of Wisconsin and University of Wisconsin-Extension.

Many businesses and individuals throughout Wisconsin, Illinois, and other states donated to the 2026 Green County Dairy Days to support both the County Queen and Princess Crowning Banquet and the Dairy Cattle Show.
The banquet and cattle show are funded 100% by the donations received from our very generous sponsors. Because of their generous donations, we are able to offer the cattle show as a free event for all youth in grades 3 through one year beyond high school, allowing anyone with a dairy heifer and the desire, to participate in the show. Each exhibitor received a complimentary t-shirt, a bottle of waterless shampoo, and ice cream from Green County Dairy Days to commemorate their participation in the event, as well as very generous premiums to enable them to continue to fund their dairy projects.
Brian Kelroy and Colin Uecker served as the judges for our cattle show. We were very honored to have these two outstanding judges for our show. We thank them for taking their time to evaluate our exhibitors and their animals and we appreciate their dedication to the future of the dairy industry. A huge “Thank You” to Brian and Colin!
Holstein Judge was Brian Kelroy. Brian Kelroy lives in DeForest with his wife Dana and their three children: Kian, Ava, and Weston. Brian has shown and bred numerous animals that have competed well in showing, including Kelroys Rubens Vivian, who was classified EX-95.
Brian is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He is currently a Dairy Production Specialist at Zoetis and previously worked as a classifier for Holstein Association USA. Additionally, Brian has been the judging coach at the University of Wisconsin-Madison for the past 16 years and has coached the team to multiple national contest victories.
Brian enjoys judging all breeds of dairy cattle and has judged various local, district, state, and national shows. He also has judged shows internationally in Australia, Japan, South Korea, Peru, and Poland.
Some of the highlights in Brian’s judging career include serving as the official judge for the Wisconsin State Red & White Show, the Southern National Holstein and Jersey Shows, the Brown Swiss show at International Dairy Week in Australia, the Korean National Holstein Show, and serving as the associate judge for the International Red & White Show at World Dairy Expo. Brian has also served on the nomination and voting panels for the Holstein, Red & White, and Guernsey All-American contests.
Brown Swiss and Other Breed Judge was Colin Uecker. Colin Uecker is from Watertown, Wisconsin. Colin owns and operates Stormy-Ridge Holsteins and Jerseys, a small group of registered show heifers that he exhibits at district, state, and national levels. Over the past few years, he has developed, sourced, and sold several Junior and Open All-American nominations across several breeds including Holsteins, Jerseys, and Brown Swiss.
A recent graduate in 2022 of the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Colin earned degrees in Dairy Science and Agricultural Business Management. He now works for PEAK Genetics as part of the Genetics Team, and also is the PEAK Genetics Sales Manager, collaborating with many international markets and customers on their genetic plans and aspirations.
Colin’s accomplishments include being named the Wisconsin Holstein Association’s Most Outstanding Holstein Boy in 2019 and a Semi-Finalist for the Holstein USA’s Distinguished Junior Member (DJM Awad). While at UW-Madison, he was also a member of the University Dairy Judging and Dairy Challenge Team.
In addition to showing, Colin has been deeply involved in the dairy show industry for many years- fitting and working at shows and sales across the United States. He has had the privilege of working with numerous All-American and All-Canadian nominations across all breeds. In recent years, Colin has judged several local and district shows, along with serving as the associate judge at national shows.
