Monroe’s Paulson named RVC-Valley Pitcher of the Year
Monroe’s Kaegunn Paulson was named the 2026 RVC-Valley Pitcher of the Year.

The Rock Valley Conference has announced its selections for the Rock Valley Conference, Valley Division All Conference softball team for 2026.

Senior Kaegann Paulson was named First Team All-Conference and Pitcher of the Year. Paulson led the Cheesemakers with 18 wins and a 2.04 earned run average along with 181 strikeouts. For her career, Paulson had 649 strikeouts. At the plate, Paulson batted .531 with eight doubles, five triples, two home runs, and 34 RBIs. In addition, Paulson had 14 stolen bases.

Also receiving First Team All-Conference honors is sophomore Jade Hawkinson. For the 2026 season, Hawkinson batted .375 with 10 doubles, four triples, three home runs, and 29 RBIs. Hawkinson also stole 18 bases for the Cheesemakers while playing shortstop.

Monroe also had two players named Second Team All-Conference — third baseman Ivie Ellenson, a sophomore, and right fielder Maddie Ruegsegger, a junior.

The Cheesemakers finished the season a 19-10 overall record, third place in the RVC-Valley and won a Regional Championship in Division 2.
