On May 26:
● At 2:06 a.m., Deputies responded to the 900 block of W Exchange St., City of Brodhead for a report of a hit and run. Deputies investigation found that an individual while leaving the parking lot, backed into a parked vehicle and left the scene. Deputies later determined that the vehicle that left the scene was driven by Brandon A. Diaz, 23, of Brodhead. Brandon was issued a citation for unsafe backing and operating after revocation. Additionally, Diaz had an active warrant for his arrest. Deputies placed Diaz into custody and he was transported to the Green County Jail pending court.
● At 1:58 p.m., Deputies along with Rock County Sheriff’s Office, Evansville FD, and Evansville EMS, responded to the N7000 block of STH 104, Town of Albany, for a report of a vehicle in the field. The investigation determined that the driver of the vehicle, Michelle S. Lindsay, 65, of Rocky City (IL), was southbound on STH 104, when she attempted to avoid an object in the roadway. Lindsay reported losing control of the vehicle and entered the east ditch where she struck a utility pole. Lindsay was wearing her seatbelt and reported having injuries. Her vehicle had airbag deployment and was towed from the scene due to disabling damage. Lindsay was transported to a local hospital for her injuries.
● At 3:18 p.m., Deputies placed Brelle D. Collins, 23, of Juda, under arrest for probation and parole violation at the Green County Probation and Parole Office. Collins was transported to the Green County Jail pending court.
● At 9:21 p.m., Deputies placed Jason A. Flannery, 46, of Brodhead, under arrest for probation and parole violation at his residence in rural Brodhead. Flannery was transported to the Green County Jail pending court.
On May 27:
● At 8:36 a.m., Deputies responded to the N1900 block of STH 69, in the Town of Clarno, for a disturbance. The investigation resulted in Nicole R. Borchardt, 32, of Lena, and Amanda J. Braden, 28, of New Glarus, being cited for Disorderly Conduct. Both parties were later released pending court.
On May 28:
● At 4:08 a.m., Deputies, Monticello Fire Department, and Green County EMS, responded to the N6500 block of CTH N, in the Town of Washington, for a reported two vehicle crash. The investigation found William C. George, 87, of Freeport, was exiting a nearby business when he collided with a northbound vehicle on CTH N, driven by Tabitha M. Berget-Barnaby, 54, of New Glarus. Occupants of both vehicles reported they were wearing their seatbelts and sustained apparent non-life-threatening injuries. Both vehicles involved sustained disabling damage, with no airbag deployment, and were driven from the scene.
On May 29:
● At 3:44 p.m., Deputies were notified of an incident that happened in the N7400 blk of CTH N, Town of New Glarus, involving a road rage incident. Maximus C M Marty, 20, of New Glarus was driving home to his house when he got behind a vehicle driven by Michael Higbie, 68, of Monticello. During the incident Higbie used loud and profane language in two separate occurrences with Marty, about Marty’s driving. Higbie also followed Marty to his residence as well. Higbie was cited for disorderly conduct and harassment pending court.
● At 7:02 p.m., Deputies responded to the N7900 block of CTH CC, Town of Exeter and placed Jeffrey P. Zweifel, 60, of Belleville under arrest due to an active warrant with the Green County Sheriff’s Office. Zweifel was transported to the Green County Jail pending court. His charges include disorderly conduct, criminal trespass to dwelling, battery, and intimidation of a victim, a felony offense.
On May 31:
● At 8:58 p.m., Deputies, along with Green County EMS, and Juda Fire, responded to the intersection of Advance Rd. and Five Corner Rd, Town of Clarno, for a one vehicle accident with injuries. Investigation determined that the driver of the vehicle, Jared J. Stewart, 39, of Monroe, was traveling eastbound in the W4900 block of Advance Rd. when he failed to stop at the intersection of Advance Rd. and Five Corner Rd. Stewart’s vehicle went through the intersection colliding with the embankment. The vehicle then entered the field rolling several times before coming to a stop in the field. Stewart’s vehicle sustained disabling damage, had air bag deployment, and was towed from the scene. Stewart was wearing his seatbelt and had injuries. He was transported to a local hospital for his injuries. Stewart was cited for failure to stop at a stop sign and failure to keep vehicle under control pending court.
