Monroe four off the pace at home RVC meet

MONROE — The Monroe Cheesemakers finished four strokes behind Delavan-Darien at the Rock Valley Conference Mini-Meet #4 at Monroe Golf Course on Monday, May 4. The teams played the back nine, which is a Par 36. Delavan-Darien won the meet with a 167 and the Cheesemakers shot a 171.

Senior Brody Koehn just missed being the medalist. Koehn shot a 38, one stroke behind Whitewater’s Elijah Wieland with a 37.

Senior Brock Brandli fired a 43 to finish seventh overall. Senior Brady Stuart had a 44 and was eighth overall. Senior Hans Brandt (12th) fired 45. Junior Troy Spotts carded a 47 (14th).

SWAL Conference Mini-Meet at Yelllowstone Golf Course — Argyle

ARGYLE — The Darlington Redbirds were second and Argyle-Pecatonica was third at the Southwest Wisconsin Activities League Mini-Meet #5 at Yellowstone Golf Course at Argyle.

Cuba City/Benton/Southwestern won the meet with a 166. Senior Drew Aschliman of Mineral Point was the medalist with a 36. Senior Blaze White of Darlington just missed being a co-medalist as he shot a 37 to lead Darlington.

The Redbirds shot 169, led by White’s 37. Senior Alex Fox had a 40 and finished fifth overall. Sophomore Alex Stauffacher fired a 46 and was 15th. Senior Broker Buschor had a 46 and junior Kaleb King got a 48.

Argyle-Pecatonica took third place by shooting a 173. AP was led by junior Avari Steiner with a 41, which placed her eighth overall. Junior Blake Ferrell and senior Caleb McKenszie each carded a 43. Sophomore Tucker Bethke fired a 46, and senior Cohlman Schlimgen finished the day with a 51.

Par for nine holes at Yellowstone Golf Course is 36.

RVC-Rock at Towne Golf Course — Edgerton

EDGERTON — The Brodhead Cardinals shot 208 to finish in sixth place at the Rock Valley Conference, Rock Division Mini-Meet #5 at Towne Golf Course at Edgerton on Monday, May 4.

Edgerton won the meet with a 155 with Owen Wagie carding a 35 to become the medalist.

Brodhead was led by sophomore Aiden Arn and junior Avery Rufer, both with a 51. Junior Josiah Blum and senior Aidan Haegele each had a 53. Senior Maddax McGinty shot a 54.
