Corrine Hendrickson Candidate, 17th Senate District

MADISON — Corrine Hendrickson, a former family child care business owner of 18 years, turned in over 500 signatures on nomination papers for State Senate District 17 to the Wisconsin Elections Commission (WEC) at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 29.

Since launching her campaign in September 2025, she has visited 26 school districts, multiple fire departments, small businesses, and hosted meet and greets in 55 communities across the district.

She was able to obtain this the required number of signees in only 14 days by earning the trust and the support of over 50 volunteers who collected signatures in their own communities across all six counties.

Hendrickson is a former cub scout Cubmaster, a small business owner, educator, and mother of two teenage sons. She and her husband, a local volunteer fire chief, full-time firefighter, and drummer have been raising their two sons in New Glarus for 23 years. She is a former elected school board member with an education degree and years of experience working with children with special needs in her 5-star Accredited family child care business.

Hendrickson cares for her communities and pledges to work to lower every day costs, access to high quality affordable child care for all children, fully fund public schools by investing fairly across the state, protect the land and water, and support rural family farms and small businesses.

Hendrickson said she is looking forward to continuing to meet with and earn the vote of Wisconsinites in southwestern Wisconsin as she travels the district in the coming weeks. She added that she is ready to fight for policies that will bring meaningful relief to the hardworking families in the 17th Senate District.
