The Golf Coaches Association of Wisconsin has announced that the following student-athletes from New Glarus have been recognized as 2026 Academic All-State honorees:

● Isaac Ingwell

● Grady Johnson

● Kofi Belknap

● Kellen Martinson

The Darlington girls gold team was also recognized for recently earning Team Academic ALL-State “Gold Level Status by the Golf Coaches Association of Wisconsin.

Members of the Darlington girls golf team include Makenna Martin, Elie Riechers, Jaycie Schwartz, Sarina Ford, and Adaline Riechers.

Students are submitted by member coaches of the GCAW and must meet the following criteria to be considered for this great award:

● The student-athlete must have a cumulative GPA of 3.25 or higher;

● Must have participated in at least 75% of their team’s varsity competitions during the 2026 season

● Must be in good standing regarding athletic and school codes of conduct at their participating schools, and;

● Must be either a sophomore, junior, or senior

A total of 498 students from 167 different high schools have been honored this year. The average GPA of these students is an exceptional 3.79.

The GCAW was formed by high school golf coaches in 1986 to help build and enhance Wisconsin’s reputation for developing quality junior players by promoting golf in our schools and communities.
