Arlene Inez Lewis, age 84 of Browntown passed away on Saturday, August 1, 2026 surrounded by loved ones. She was born on February 28, 1942, the daughter of Andrew and Violet (Wilson) Walton. On July 31, 1965 Arlene married Theron Lewis, Jr. in Basswood Church.

Arlene’s family and faith were the most important things to her. She cared deeply for her family. Arlene farmed with her husband for many years. She was a daycare provider until she retired.

Arlene is survived by her children, Rebecca (Patrick) Stietz, Rachael (Joshua) Larson, Sarah (Jason) Opie, Matthew (Shelby) Lewis, and Elizabeth (Travis) Gray; grandchildren, Logan (Haley) Stietz, Lydia Stietz (Bobby Pasker), Ashly (Stanley) Bruegger, Lillian Opie, Lorelie Opie, Isabelle (Brodie) Schaeuble, Rose Lewis, Ava Lewis, Brenna Gray, Natilee Gray, Miranda Gray, Lila Gray, Silas Gray, and Penelope Gray; great-grandchildren, Drake & Ronan Bruegger, Oaklynn Schaeuble, Elliot Stietz and many in-laws, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Theron; her parents; grandson, Ivan Gray; her siblings, Ivan Walton, Joan Creasey and Norma Jean Ewing; her niece, Laura (Ley) Schuette, her parents-in-law, Theron Lewis, Sr. and Dorothy Lewis; brother-in-law, Bill Hole; and sisters-in-law, Betty Lewis and Jenny De Shazo-Brown.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, August 7, 2026 at SHRINER HAGER GOHLKE Funeral Home at 12:00 PM with Pastor Phil Butler officiating. Burial will take place at Pioneer Old Cadiz Cemetery.

A visitation will be held on Friday from 10:00 AM until the time of service on at the funeral home.
