Jeffrey R. Rufenacht, age 62 of Monticello passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 20, 2026. He was born on September 19, 1963 the son of Robert and Glorianne (Thoman) Rufenacht. He was raised on a dairy farm and graduated from Monroe High in 1982. On August 18, 1984 Jeff married Cathy Geasland, and together raised their daughters in Monticello. Throughout Jeff’s life he worked in sales and technical support. He enjoyed working on Buicks and was a member of the Buick Club of America. He developed a passion for riding and restoring Harley Davidsons. He always enjoyed swap meets and spending time with family and friends.

Jeff is survived by his mother, Glorianne Thoman; children, Kristin (Steven) Meyer and Danielle (Nick Tadych) Rufenacht; grandchildren, Daxton and Huxton Meyer; significant other, Vickie Smith; sister, Rose (Tim) Carlson; and many nieces, nephews, extended relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Rufenacht and wife, Cathy.

Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, August 29, 2026 at 11:00 AM at Shriner Hager Gohlke Funeral Home with Pastor Tim Carlson officiating. In tribute to Jeff, Harley Davidson attire is encouraged.
