Move It Forward, a charity organization started by Monroe youth, held its second annual pickleball tournament on Friday, August 14 at Northeast Park in Monroe. A total of 19 teams registered, and the rain cleared in time to dry the courts. The competitive champions were Wesley Saunders and Frank Meier. Recreational champions were Marcus Ott and Anna Zentner (above). One hundred percent of proceeds were donated to the Backpack Buddies program.
