On June 20:
● 11:35 p.m. A deputy responded to Glenville Rd, Shullsburg Township for a check welfare. As a result, Celestino Dominguez Hernandez,35, Pearl City IL was cited for Operating while intoxicated 1st offense. Celestino was brought to the Lafayette County Jail where he was later released to a responsible party.
On June 21:
● 11:42 p.m. Jacob RG Riniker, 42, Lancaster reported striking a deer while on CTH W, New Diggings Township. No injuries were reported and his 2022 GMC received minor damage and was driven from the scene.
On June 22:
● 11:31 p.m. A deputy responded to CTH D, Wayne Township for a one vehicle accident. Mackenzie L. Bechtolt, 22, South Wayne was traveling on CTH D when she lost control of her vehicle, left the roadway, and entered the ditch. Bechtolt reported no injuries. Bechtolt’s 2014 Nissan received disabling damage and was towed from the scene.
On June 23:
● 5:31 p.m. Charlotte L. Doherty, 76, Darlington reported striking a deer on County Shop RD, Darlington Township. Doherty reported no injuries. Doherty’s 2023 Ford received functional damage and was driven from the scene.
On June 25:
● 9:53 p.m. Autumn M. Love Lopez, 35, Illinois reported striking a deer on STH 11, South Wayne Township. Minor Injuries were reported and they were transported to the Monroe Hospital. Love Lopez’s 2013 Chevrolet received disabling damage and was towed from the scene. South Wayne Fire, South Wayne First Response, Green County EMS, and Don’s Towing and Automotive assisted.
On June 27:
● 1:21 a.m. Jenny V. Ramos-Martinez, 26, Darlington was arrested for Operating Without a Valid License (OWL – 2nd w/in 3 Years) on STH 23, Willow Springs Township. Ramos-Martinez was transported to Lafayette County Jail where she was booked and later released.
● 8:13 a.m. Savannah E.A. Babler, 35, South Wayne reported striking a deer on Wayne Center RD, Wayne Township. Babler reported no injuries. Babler’s 2024 Jeep received functional damage and was driven from the scene.
On June 28:
● 3:13 a.m. Darwin J. Hernandez-Gahona, 22, Freeport was arrested for Operating While Intoxicated (OWI – 1st Offense) on CTH G, Fayette Township. Hernandez-Gahona was transported to Lafayette County Sheriff’s Office where he was later released to a responsible party. Hernandez-Gahona was also cited for Operating Left of Center and Operating Without a Valid License (OWL – 1st Offense).
● 6:51 a.m. Marlene T. Monahan, 61, Shullsburg reported striking a deer on CTH E, Darlington Township. Monahan reported no injuries. Monahan’s 2019 Jeep received functional damage and was driven from the scene.
On June 30:
● 4:55 a.m. Jeremy L. Weipert, 43, Mineral Point reported striking a deer on CTH G, Kendall Township. Weipert reported minor injuries and was transported to Southwest Health Center. Weipert’s 2025 Chevrolet received disabling damage and was towed from the scene. Belmont EMS assisted.
● 7:11 a.m. Kevin L. Kubly, 63, Argyle reported striking a deer on CTH C, Argyle Township. Kubly reported no injuries. Kubly’s 2014 Hyundai received functional damage and was driven from the scene.
On July 1:
● 6:34 a.m. Arthur W. Stocker, 59, Gratiot reported striking a deer on STH 11, Wayne Township. Stocker and his passenger reported no injuries. Stocker’s 2006 Toyota received functional damage and was driven from the scene.
● 2:11 p.m. Deputies assisted Shullsburg Police on S Judgement ST in the City with a domestic dispute. Jon J. Simmons, 40, Shullsburg was arrested on a Probation Violation. Simmons was transported to Lafayette County Jail where he was booked and remains.
On July 3:
● 2:52 p.m. A deputy responded to CTH KK, Gratiot Township for a two-vehicle accident. Thad W. Withers, 60, Illinois was operating his 2015 Ford when he sideswiped Donald C. Arnold, 65, Illinois 2019 Dodge. No injuries reported. Both Withers’ 2015 Ford and Arnold’s 2019 Dodge received functional damage and driven from the scene.
● 6:14 p.m. Mayreni Nava-Nava, 16, Darlington was cited for Speeding and Operating Without A Valid Driver’s License- 1st Offense and passenger, Marveli Nava-Laureano, 32, Darlington was cited for Permit Unauthorized Minor to Drive on STH 81, Seymour Township.
● 11:40 p.m. A deputy responded to CTH E, Darlington Township for a two-vehicle accident. Brittney N. Slack, 31, Dodgeville was operating her 2001 Chevrolet northbound on CTH E when she struck an unknown object in the roadway. Charlie D. Curry, 16, Lamont was operating his 2015 Ford northbound on CTH E when he also struck the object. Slack’s Chevrolet received functional damage and was driven from the scene. Curry’s Ford received disabling damage and was towed from the scene.
On July 4:
● 6:26 p.m. Jose G. Salgado-Rodriguez, 26, Cuba City was cited for Open Intoxication and arrested for Operating After Revocation- 2nd offense on CTH H, Elk Grove Township. Salgado-Rodriguez was transported to the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Office where he was booked and released on bond.
● 9:10 p.m. A deputy assisted Shullsburg Police on W Water ST in the City for disorderly conduct. Mitchell L. Thompson, 39, Darlington was arrested for Disorderly Conduct. Thompson was transported and booked into the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Office where he remains in custody.
