From Nancy Dorl

To the Editor:
Recently I received a post card urging me to vote for Chris Taylor in the April 7th election. The problem with this was that it was delivered 2 days after the election. When I checked the post mark it had been mailed 16 days before it arrived in my mailbox.
A friend had the same experience. We began to think this was a conspiracy against political mailings. However, 2 weeks after Easter, my sister called to thank me for the Easter card I sent. That first class mail took 3 weeks to get from Belleville, WI to Portage, WI.
After talking with others I have heard about birthday cards, etc. taking a very long time to get delivered. The USPS raises rates constantly, but the service is declining. It’s time for legislators to do something about this nonsense.
