Randall “Randy” Whitney, age 84, of Juda passed away unexpectedly from a truck accident on Monday, January 20, 2025 at the SSM Health Hospital in Monroe.  He was born on July 6, 1940 the son of Raymond and Hazel (Bronson) Whitney.  He attended Ripon High School.  On October 24, 1971 Randy married Dianne Lehr at the Little Church by the Side of the Road in Rockton, IL.

Randy was the owner/operator of Whitney Tree Service, a business he started in Oshkosh in 1958.  He later moved the business to Monroe in the early 70’s.  He was an avid sportsman who enjoyed trap shooting, snowmobiling, and riding motorcycles. Randy especially loved traveling cross country with his wife, Dianne on his motorcycle; they also made many wonderful memories camping with friends and family.  In his later years, Randy enjoyed attending car shows, classic vehicles, and his beloved truck, "Rosie."

Randy is survived by his wife, Dianne; children, LouRae (Bill) Pucker, Russell “Buck” (Kathy) Whitney, Donna (Paul) Jacob, Kelly (Scott) Sedo, Dennis (Dawn Walter) Whitney, Darron “Duck” (Penny) Whitney, and Butch (Geri) Whitney; twelve grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sister, Francine (Dale) Weatherwax; and extended relatives and many dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 25, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Shriner Hager Gohlke Funeral Home with Pastor Mary Gafner officiating. 

A visitation will be held on Friday, January 24, 2025 from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the funeral home.  Condolences may be sent to the family at: shgfuneralhome.net.
