Pauline Ruth Trickel, age 93 of Monroe area, died Friday, June 21, 2024 at Luther Grand Meadows Nursing Home in Dubuque, IA. She was born on June 9, 1931 in Darlington, the daughter of James “Leo” and Harriet “Fay” (Crippen) Reichling. She graduated from Darlington High School. She served in the WAX, “ Women’s Army Corps”. Pauline married Boyd E. Trickel on June 7, 1975 in Monroe. She worked in the Green County Clerk’s Office for several years, and later worked at the D.M.V.

     Pauline was a member of St. Clare of Assisi Parish at St. Victor Catholic Church. She and Boyd, when he was alive, were members of an antique car club, and enjoyed the many shows they went to, and the friends they made. She enjoyed painting, word search puzzles and spending time with her family.

     She is survived by her son, Kenneth (Jennifer) Raney of Dubuque, IA; grandchildren: Jessica Klarer, Kenneth Raney Jr., and Joshua Raney; 3 great grandchildren: Fisher, Trevor, and Piper. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 3 brothers: Pete, Kenneth, and Don Reichling.

     Funeral services will be held at 12:00 Noon on Friday, June 28, 2024 at SHRINER HAGER GOHLKE Funeral Home. Burial will be in Calvary cemetery. A visitation will be held Friday from 10:00 am until the time of service, at the funeral home.
