Imogene J. Larson, age 96, of Monroe, passed away peacefully from natural causes on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, at St. Clare Friedensheim Assisted Living, Monroe. She was born on June 11, 1928 in Lamont, WI, the daughter of Frank and Elsie (Hughes) Lancaster. Imogene graduated from Argyle High School and was united in marriage to Dwight Larson on October, 21, 1947 in Darlington. She worked alongside her husband in the cheese factory while raising her children. Imogene and Dwight lived in Darlington before moving to operate the Bidlingmaier/Isely Cheese Factory in rural Monroe. They later operated the Health Valley Cheese Factory in Juda and eventually Larson Cheese.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Dwight; sons, Larry and Keith; granddaughter, Michelle; three sisters, Hazel, Inez, Lillian; and a brother, Winfield.

She is survived by a son, Roger Larson; daughters, Patti Swanson, Deborah (Dick) Boyer; and daughter-in-law, Sally Larson. She is further survived by 12 grandchildren, Lisa, Amy, Jon, Brian, Paula, Erika, Jennifer, Heather, Ashley, Jason, Ben, Jake and their spouses; 29 greatgrandchildren; numerous great-greatgrandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Per Imogene’s request no services will be held. Inurnment will be in Mt. Vernon Cemetery, Juda. The NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, Monroe, is assisting the family. Condolences may be shared at www.newcomerfuneralhome.net
