On Monday, July 26, the Monroe school board:

• Unanimously voted to accept Haley Simmons' resignation. Simmons was a Monroe Middle School sixth-grade teacher.

• Unanimously voted to hire Kathryn Stankivitz as a Monroe High School social studies teacher.
