Green County Sheriff

MONROE - Mary K. Hartlich, 32, New Glarus, reported no injuries from a one-vehicle crash in the N9100 block of County CC in the Town of Exeter at 9:37 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 17. She was northbound when her vehicle veered into the ditch and hit a culvert. The vehicle sustained minor damage and was driven from the scene.

• Joan M. Cotherman, 73, Freeport, Ill., reported no injuries after she collided with a deer in the N3600 block of Wisconsin 69 in the Town of Monroe at 12:36 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 17. The vehicle sustained minor damage and was driven from the scene.

• Nicholas A. Elmer, 17, rural New Glarus, reported no injuries after he collided with a deer in the W5800 block of County NN in the Town of New Glarus at 5:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 17. The vehicle sustained moderate damage and was driven from the scene.

Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - Robert J. Arvetis, 25, Orland Park, Ill, was transported by Rural Medical Ambulance for injuries he sustained in an ATV accident on Fayette Trail in the Town of Willow Springs at 2:45 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 17. Arvetis was southbound when he failed to negotiate a curve due to his high rate of speed, lost control and overturned. He was thrown from the ATV, which then rolled on top of him.

• Brandon D. Barclay, 27, Shullsburg, at 9:06 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 17, on Wis. 78 in the Town of Wiota.

• Sarah A. Mathew, 22, Shannon, Ill., at 5:49 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 17, on Wis. 81 in the Town of Darlington.

• Mike S. Berget, 60, Darlington, at 6:15 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 17, on Wis. 81 in the Town of Lamont.

• Katlyn M. Lee, 23, Monroe, at 3:50 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 18, on Wis. 11 in the Town of Wayne.

• Amy J. Johnson, 25, Gratiot, at 5:45 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 18, on County D in the Town of Wiota.

• Taylor J. Gabel, 19, Gratiot, at 7:19 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 18, on Ames Road in the Town of Gratiot.

On June 7:

● At 11:21 a.m., officers arrested Lucas S. Rosslein, 45, of Monroe, at 17th Avenue and 11th Street, on a warrant issued by the Green County Sheriff’s Office for a child support case. Rosslein was confined in the Green County Jail pending further proceedings.

On June 14:

● At 5:37 p.m., officers were called to a one-vehicle versus sign accident, with no reported injuries, in the 1000 block of 16th Avenue. The investigation indicated that a vehicle southbound on 16th Avenue, operated by Cynthia L. Hughes (63), of Monroe, while pulling into a parking stall, drove over the curb and struck a street sign. The vehicle sustained minor damages, and the sign pole was also damaged. Hughes was cited for operating without a valid driver’s license, non-registration of a vehicle, and no vehicle insurance. Hughes was released pending a court appearance. 

● At 7:22 p.m., officers arrested Jasten C. Halvorson (25), of Brodhead, in the 2800 block of 6th Street, on a warrant issued by the Wisconsin Department of Corrections-Probation & Parole, for a probation violation. Halvorson was confined in the Green County Jail pending further proceedings.
