NEW GLARUS - On Sunday, Sept. 20:
Terry L. Calhoun, 58, Stockton, Ill., was cited at 4:47 p.m. for a seatbelt violation and for driving without vehicle insurance.
Police checked on an occupied suspicious vehicle in the 90 block of Industrial Avenue at 11:09 p.m. Everything was found to be OK.
On Monday, Sept. 21:
Police responded to New Glarus Middle School at 10:51 a.m. for a disorderly student. The school requested police assistance. The matter was dealt with, and the school handled punishment for the student's actions.
Two dogs running at large in the area of the 100 block of 6th Avenue were reported at 11:26 a.m. One of the dogs, a boxer, was caught and its owner contacted. The other dog was also later caught.
Police assisted the Green County Sheriff's Department with locating a suspicious person knocking on doors in the Town of New Glarus. The person had run out of gas and was looking for help.
Lost vehicle keys were reported at 3:40 p.m. The keys were lost in the area of the New Glarus Elementary School during a football game a couple of weeks ago.
On Tuesday, Sept. 22:
Police were called at about 10 p.m. to an address on 6th Avenue for a disturbance and a person possibly hit by a vehicle. Roy W. Prewitt, 42, Madison, was cited the next day for disorderly conduct following an investigation.
On Wednesday, Sept. 23:
A burglary was reported at 12:47 p.m. at a residence on 2nd Street. Several pieces of jewelry were taken.
At 3 p.m., police received a complaint about a person mowing grass clippings in the roadway in the 1300 block of 1st Street.
At 3:45 p.m., police assisted Green County Human Services with an investigation into the safety of some children who live in New Glarus.
Police were called for a custody dispute at 3:45 p.m. in the 1400 block of 2nd Street. The matter was resolved peacefully.
At 6:20 p.m., police came across a dead dog in the 200 block of 14th Avenue. It appeared to have been hit by an unknown vehicle. The dog's owner was located and they took care of it.
Dead squirrels in the roadway were reported at 6:30 p.m. in the 200 block of 4th Avenue. A request was sent to the village streets department for removal.
On Thursday:
Police responded at 10:06 a.m. to the 400 block of 6th Avenue for a civil dispute over a vehicle. The matter was resolved.
Police responded at 11:21 a.m. to a report of a dresser drawer in the middle of the roadway on Wisconsin 69 near Industrial Drive.
Police assisted the Green County Sheriff's Department with an out-of-control juvenile in the 4000 block of County W at 9:42 p.m.
On Friday:
At 12:01 a.m., police received a complaint about people being loud outside in the 500 block of 1st Street. Upon police arrival a few minutes later, no one was outside and no noise was heard.
Charlie E. Miller, 31, Freeport, was cited for a seatbelt violation at 11:08 a.m. on Wis. 69 at 6th Avenue.
Scott R. Ryan, 24, Belleville, was cited for a seatbelt violation at 11:27 a.m. on Wis. 69 at 6th Avenue.
Tyler M. Bongiovanni, 18, Monticello, was cited for a seatbelt violation and for driving without vehicle insurance at 11:42 a.m. on Wis. 69 at County W.
Angela M. Baker, 38, New Glarus, was cited for failure to stop for an adult crossing guard at 3:25 p.m. in the 1400 block of 2nd Street.
At 5:15 p.m., police checked on an older person lying down in a vehicle. The person was fine and was just taking a nap.
At 5:48 p.m., police assisted a citizen with dog registration questions and referred them to the village clerk to get it taken care of.
Megan T. Hayes, 36, New Glarus, was cited for driving without vehicle insurance after police stopped her at 7:59 p.m. for an equipment violation in the 700 block of 6th Avenue.
At 10:25 p.m., police received a complaint of a gutter that was damaged in the 500 block of 1st Street due to a person knocking down a snow fence.
On Saturday:
Vincent J. Buholzer, 18, Monroe, was cited for driving without vehicle insurance after police stopped him at 12:25 a.m. for an equipment violation in the 600 block of Wis. 69.
At 12:31 a.m., police came across a male subject lying in the middle of the road in the 300 block of 2nd Avenue. Police walked him to his residence.
Suspicious circumstances in the 1700 block of 2nd Street were investigated at 2:56 a.m. The people involved were found to be employees and everything was OK.
Benjamin C. Schreier, 20, Jefferson, was cited for a seatbelt violation at 9 a.m. on Wis. 69 at 11th Street.
Joanna L. Lincicum, 22, Monroe, was cited for a seatbelt violation at 10:35 a.m. on Wis. 69 at 11th Avenue.
A hit-and-run crash was reported at 11:32 a.m. in the 1000 block of 1st Street. A legally parked vehicle had been sideswiped by an unknown vehicle.
Multiple vehicles were cited for parking illegally around 1:28 p.m. in the 600 block of 2nd Street.
Police responded to a report at 4:42 p.m. that an elderly man was lost in the area of County W and Wis. 69. Police found him. He was reunited with his family.

Police responded at 2:25 a.m. to a business in the 200 block of 5th Avenue for a report of a woman who was so intoxicated that she could not care for herself. Police found a responsible person to take care of her.
A parking complaint of a vehicle completely blocking a driveway in the 100 block of 8th Avenue was reported at 3:53 p.m. The vehicle was cited.
A parking complaint was reported at 4:15 p.m. in the 700 block of Railroad Street. The matter was resolved as police were arriving.
Shelby Jo Caler, 23, Rockton, Ill., was cited for making an unlawful U-turn at 5:51 p.m. after Caler's actions almost caused a motor vehicle crash at the intersection of 2nd Street and 8th Avenue.
Police responded at 9:02 p.m. to a request for a welfare check in the 100 block of 6th Avenue. The person was found to be OK and was just sitting on the sidewalk to watch the blood moon eclipse.
Chloe E. Van Hoose, 27, Monticello, was cited for driving with a suspended license and expired vehicle registration at 10:21 p.m. after police observed multiple equipment violations in the 600 block of Wis. 69.

MONROE - On Monday:
Jordan Alexander Lickes, 22, Monroe, was arrested at the Green County Justice Center at 2:16 p.m. on a Department of Corrections probation/parole hold. He was jailed.
Maria Santes Gomez Bartolo, 31, Monroe, was arrested on a charge of obstructing an officer after deputies responded at 7:51 p.m. to a traffic complaint of a vehicle being driven erratically in the W4400 block of Wis. 11, Town of Jefferson. The driver of the vehicle, later identified as Gomez Bartolo, provided a false name to deputies. She was also cited for driving with a suspended license. She was jailed pending bond or court.
Laura J. Hanson, 51, Argyle, was arrested on a first-offense charge of driving while under the influence of alcohol and cited for driving too fast for conditions and possessing marijuana (25 grams or less) after a one-vehicle accident reported at 9:37 p.m. on Cadiz Springs Road north of Wis. 11, Town of Cadiz. Hanson was northbound on Cadiz Springs Road when she lost control on a curve, went off the road into the ditch and collided with a tree. She sustained injuries. Her vehicle was severely damaged and towed. She was released pending court.

A deputy provided traffic control at 9:06 a.m. on South Mound Avenue in Belmont.
Animal neglect was reported at 9:30 a.m. on South Prairie Road, Town of Gratiot.
A deputy assisted the Iowa County Sheriff's Office at 10:01 a.m. with locating a person on Penn Street in Belmont.
Debris on the roadway was reported at 1:19 p.m. on County I, Town of New Diggings.
A deputy checked welfare at 1:51 p.m. on South Park Street in Shullsburg.
A deputy checked welfare at 2:10 p.m. on Wis. 11 in Shullsburg.
