The court Jan. 24 issued an arrest warrant for Domingo R. Cardenas Jr., 33, Madison, for failure to appear for a return on a Jan. 18 bench warrant.
Cardenas is charged with two counts of failure to support a child, a class I felony. He faces up to seven years in prison and $20,000 in fines, if convicted.
He was free on a $5,000 signature bond from Nov. 17, 2010.
Misdemeanors
The court Jan. 26 fined Robert P. Bevins, 42, Monroe, $362, after he pleaded no contest to amended drug-related charges.
Court records indicate Bevins, on or about March 23, 2010, in the City of Monroe, had in his possession 15 illegally-obtained Vicodin tablets containing Hydrocodone. He was charged with possession an illegally obtained prescription. He faced up to six months in jail and $500 in fines, for the unclassified misdemeanor.
- The court Jan. 24 scheduled a Feb. 22 district attorney conference for Victor Nmi Dominguez-Delfin, 30, Monroe, who pleaded not guilty to charges related to domestic abuse and battery.
Court records allege Dominguez-Delfin, on or about Feb. 6, 2010, in the City of Monroe, hit a person in her face causing her nose to bleed; took away her cell phone when she attempted to call 911; and swore at her and called her profane names.
He is charged with battery and intimidating a victim, both class A misdemeanors, and disorderly conduct, a class B misdemeanor. He faces up to 21 months in jail and $21,000 in fines, and possible additional domestic abuse penalties, if convicted.
He is free on a $1,500 signature bond.
