Steiners to host Annual Breakfast on the Farm

MONROE — Josh and Liz Steiner of Heaven View Dairy will host 45th Annual Green County Breakfast on the Farm Saturday, May 31. The event is put on by the Green County Ag Chest and will run from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m.

The farm is located at N303 County HK, Monroe. Parking will be available on-site, weather permitting, however, transportation provided via bussing from Walmart Supercenter in Monroe.

Entertainment during the breakfast will consist of the Stateline Playboys band, an antique tractor display, petting zoo, agricultural education stations and various craft vendors.

■ Menu: scrambled eggs, sausage, cheese, homemade coffee cake, milk, coffee and orange juice, along with strawberry ice cream sundaes

■ Entertainment & Activities: Stateline Playboys band from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m., antique tractor display and petting zoo, as well as agricultural education stations and various craft vendors

■ Two shift opportunities available: 5:30 am to 8:30 am and 8:30 am to 11:00 am.

■ Variety of volunteer positions needed - from food and coffee servers to helping guests and farm clean-up. 

■ All volunteers receive a complimentary breakfast.

■ Volunteers may drive to the farm or take the bus from Walmart Supercenter in Monroe. 

■ All help with clean-up after the breakfast is greatly appreciated.
