MONROE - Residents living in and around Monroe can learn about their risk for cardiovascular disease, osteoporosis, diabetes and other chronic, serious conditions with screenings by Life Line Screening, hosted by St. Clare of Assisi Parish, on March 21 at St. Victor Church, 1760 14th St. The event is sponsored by FHN. Screenings can check for various items including: the level of plaque buildup in arteries, related to risk for heart disease, stroke and overall vascular health; HDL and LDL cholesterol levels; diabetes risk; bone density as a risk for possible osteoporosis; and kidney and thyroid function.
