MONROE — Second District Congressman Mark Pocan will headline the opening of the expanded Green County Democratic Party headquarters in Monroe on Saturday, May 30. Pocan, who represents the area in Washington, D.C., is willing to talk with voters about the challenges facing the country and the solutions the Democratic Party offers.

The office, on the second floor at 1518 11th Street, will be open to the public from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event will offer voters a chance to talk with many of the candidates for the 17th State Senate District and the 50th Assembly District. The opening will also include a brown bag food drive. The new offices are in the same building as the party’s previous headquarters, but are much larger.

Denyse Galbreath, party co-chair, said the expanded offices are indicative of the increased Democratic Party focus on Green County.

“We are excited about the party’s growing strength in our area. We have a much better chance to win than in the past and want to put our resources into making life more affordable for working families in 2026,” she said.
