Darlington Elementary Middle School was recently received a Title I recognition award for high progress from state superintendent Carolyn Stanford Taylor along with 113 other schools. 

DEMS Principal Lori Nodorft, State Superintendent Carolyn Standord Taylor and Darlington Title 1 Teacher Jean O’Neill accepted the award. 

The honor recognizes success in educating students from families who are economically disadvantaged. 

During the May 20 ceremony at the State Capitol, Taylor recognized 19 high achieving schools, 23 high progress schools and 81 beating the odds schools.
