Terri McClaren, Afton; Michael and Lori Riese; and Dean Abb, Brodhead, announce the engagement of their daughter, Angel McClaren, to Ryan Schroeder, son of Mark and Sarah Schroeder, Menomonee Falls.
Local grandparents are Jean McClaren, Alice Markee and Jan Riese, all of Brodhead, and Lee and Diane Studer, Monticello.
The future bride graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville with a bachelor's degree in elementary education. She is employed as a 4-year-old kindergarten teacher in Cross Plains.
The future groom graduated from UW-Platteville with a bachelor's degree in construction management. He is employed as a project manager in Madison.
An August wedding is planned. The couple currently resides in Madison.
