BELOIT - The Black Hawk wrestling team dropped three dual matches at the Beloit Turner Invitational Saturday.
Turner defeated the Warriors 55-12. The only wins against Turner came from Kory Costa (135 pounds), who pinned Seth Haskins in 4 minutes, 20 seconds and Tyler Quinn (189), who pinned Chad Horkey in 3:34.
Black Hawk senior Isaac Sigafus (119) and Quinn each went 2-1 at the tournament. Whitewater beat the Warriors 71-4. Sigafus picked up the only win for the Warriors against Whitewater as he defeated Carl Strait 10-0.
In Black Hawk's closest dual match of the tournament, Horicon defeated the Warriors 36-33.
Sigafus pinned Horicon's Trevor Berger in 1:17.
Black Hawk senior Ben Stauffacher (140) pinned Zach Hecht, of Horicon, in 1:47.
Black Hawk junior Bryant Luhman pinned Horicon's Connor Bater in 1:26. Quinn won via a forfeit. Mike Powell (215) pulled out a 10-8 win over Pat Miller, also from Horicon.
