MONROE - The Monroe Optimist's No. 2 scored seven runs over the final two innings to cap a come-from-behind win over Argyle, 8-5, earlier this week.

Kaylee Craigo and Sarah Alexander both collected RBI singles late in the game to pace Monroe's offense. Ellie Shuda picked up the win on the mound and Kasey Gutzmer tossed two innings of shutout ball to pick up the save.

In other White League games, Juda's Amber Ramos struck out 15 in a 4-0 win over Albany, while Brodhead defeated Pecatonica 8-3.

Brandi Trewartha and Kendra Clark had run scoring hits in the top of the first to stake the Monroe Optimist's No. 1 to a 2-0 lead over Orangeville. Orangeville fought back, scoring seven unanswered runs to win 7-2. Paisley Bennett had two hits for Monroe and Kristin McArdle took the loss on the hill.

The Monroe Alumni remained undefeated with a 7-2 win over Lena. Kylie Kaiser, Brittany Kundert and Kayla Rackow each had multiple hits to pace Monroe's offense. Renee Schuttler picked up the win on the mound.

In other Red League games, Brodhead defeated Stockton 4-0. Brodhead, Orfordville and Durand split the games of a doubleheader.
