ALWORTH - Monroe junior Silas Setterstrom at No. 1 singles will move on to the WIAA Division 2 sectional after winning a match in the Walworth-Big Foot-Williams Bay subsectional on Monday.
Setterstrom defeated East Troy's John Brehm 6-4, 7-6 (8).
"Silas got off to a good start winning the first set, but things got a little rocky in the second set," Monroe coach Ashley Hermanson said. "Both players kept battling in the heat and kept splitting games. Neither player could get a good rhythm going to finish out strong."
Setterstrom will play in the East Troy sectional on Wednesday.
