Delbert C. Butts, age 97, of Browntown passed away on Sunday, May 17, 2026 at Pleasant View Nursing Home. He was born on June 29, 1928 the son of Charles and Sarah (Cline) Butts. Delbert was later raised by Bill and Ida Krupke. He graduated from Blackhawk High School. Delbert proudly served in the United States Navy from 1946-1950. On March 14, 1949 Delbert was united in marriage to Beth Baley in Lena, IL. Delbert was a dairy farmed in Cadiz Township for 45 years until moving to Browntown in 1990. He was a member of Peace Church, the American Legion Post 84, and he served on the Cadiz Township Board for 6 years where he was chairman for 4 years. Delbert enjoyed playing Euchre, bowling, and going to the casino with his wife.

Delbert is survived by his son, Randy Butts of Browntown; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and special friend, Cindy Hanson. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Barbara Hauser; son, Bradley Butts; daughter-in-law, Evelyn Butts; best friends, Jack and Dorothy Miller.

A private graveside service will be held at Pioneer Cemetery.
